It depicts a peaceful scene featuring traditional white walled architecture and ripening persimmons that still remain on the branch. Itakura was once a post town along the historic Sany Highway, and it also flourished as a temple town due to its proximity to Kibitsu Shrine. Today, the preserved Itakura shuku area remains as a designated historical site
